Our "Write On! Warriors Wall" features messages, stories, and drawings from our virtual den guests honoring their Pandemic or Racial Justice Warrior(s) - loved one, healthcare provider, essential worker, or anyone else who is bravely serving, protecting, and fighting for a safe, healthy, and prosperous future for all (see below for our den's daily postcard sent to a warrior and correspondence back). Send your handwritten works in JPEG or PNG format with permission to post before you mail or share with your warrior(s). Email firstname.lastname@example.org or message Facebook The Writing Den OR Instagram @thewritingden. We will 'decorate' the website's wall with as many as possible plus post on Facebook and Instagram. Take out your pens, pencils, and paper, its time to start writing, creating, and connecting!
Due to health and safety concerns surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak, our monthly den events in New York, San Diego, and Seattle are on temporary pause until further notice (see below). At this time, we are grateful for those on the front lines who bravely risk their lives to save, protect, and inform those in and outside of their communities. These include many of our Den Partners, who continue providing food, shelter, and other essential services to the homeless and others in need. Despite the pandemic's size, it is no match against handwriting's power to stay connected - offer help, give thanks, and provide hope, no matter the situation. Please consider taking a moment to "put pen to paper" and write someone who matters - from those fighting the virus and for racial justice to those you miss and love. Also supporting The Writing Den and our Partners.
