On October 28, 2019, The Writing Den opened our second Seattle den at Union Gospel Mission (UGM) Men's Shelter and is overseen by Den Leader, Kay Stelter. We are thrilled to partner with UGM, the city’s oldest organization with the mission to end hunger and homelessness. 1,000+ meals are served daily and accompanied by social services for men, women, and children guests.
In our effort to create continued awareness of NYC's homeless issue, we were thrilled Erik Bottcher, Chief of Staff and Wyatt Frank, Council Aide to NYC Council Speaker Corey Johnson stopped by our Muhlenberg Public Library den on Tuesday, October 15.
The Writing Den thanks for Optimist Club of Coronado for hosting us at their April 25, 2019 meeting. It was a great opportunity to introduce what we do and interface with members of their benevolent organization.
